5 Useful Apps of the Year So Far

With more than two million apps to choose from for Android and iPhone, it can be difficult to pick the one that’s actually worth your time. However, without quality apps, that smart phone in your pocket is as good as useless. Here, in my opinion, I have found the following apps very useful and time saver.

  • Stash

This app helps to file away the web to read later. It automatically organises the content into categories such as videos, songs and articles which you clip from the web. It also makes it easy to push particular items you’ve clipped to another device. For example, you found a useful article on your laptop it can be sent to phone and vice versa. This app also lets you set date and time reminders for individual links.

  • Houseparty

This is a group video chat app. With Houseparty, you can video chat in real time with up to seven of your friends and family simultaneously. So next time you have to make a plan, houseparty and chill with your squad.

  • Runtasty

This recipe and nutrition app is loaded with 40 recipes, the selection is limited compared to more than 50,000 recipes in Food Network’s app and 1000 plus choices available in AllRecipies. However, where it shines is the availability of filters, making it easy to find meals targeted at specific dietary needs such as post-workout, low carb, high-protein, gluten-free and many more. So to keep yourself fit and healthy this app is a must.

  • Filtru

This is a brewing app for coffee snobs and my favourite too. Filtru guides you through the art of crafting killer brews. It includes pouring intervals, stirring and waiting tips. Channeling nine brewing methods or creating and storing your own, it supports everything from aero-presses and bonmac drippers to siphons. Also, it tracks the caffeine intake as well so that you can keep tabs on how much cups of coffee you consumed.

These are some of the apps that I have loved so far and they save a lot of your time.
